For the past 30 years, Laura Kerr has created hundreds of cherished Santas for family, friends, acquaintances, and most recently, for retail consignment.
Her passion for making Santas began in the early 1990s when she created a custom Saint Nicholas for her handyman father, which depicted a workshop scene. For this Santa, Laura carved his head out of a preserved apple.
Since then, her Santas have grown in beauty, skill and artistry. An avid gardener, Laura takes inspiration from nature and often incorporates outdoor elements into her Santas, including branches, wreaths and berries from her personal garden.
Laura delights in creating a variety of Santas, which is why you’ll find a vast array of personalities – from nature-inspired, to traditional, to special holiday themes.
